The App is a very low level twitter client. You have to generate your OWN
Twitter API Key and Secret or THIS APP WILL NOT WORK.

Minimalistischer Microblogging-Client für Twitter

Die (süchtig machenden) Twitter Client Funktionen wie Likes, Retweets, Kommentare und Piepen oder Blinken bei neuen Infos sind von mir absichtlich nicht eingebaut. Außerdem lassen sich nur Vorschaubilder Twittern (ein einzelnes) um auch das ständige twittern von "Hey, wie sehe ich aus!?" Tweets zu vermeiden.

Als Student kann ich mir zur Zeit keinen Server leisten und will auch nicht euren Twitter-Content analysieren oder zwischenspeichern. Werbung mag ich auch nicht (mit dem ich den Server finanzieren könnte). Aus diesem Grund müsst ihr mit eurem Twitter Account einen API Key + Secret erstellen. Auf der <a href="https://no-go.github.io/ReoTwe/">App-Webseite</a> und in der App wird dies erklärt. Ohne diese Keys FUNKTIONIERT DIE APP nicht!

Trotz aller Funktionsreduzierung kann die App:

✔️ Twittern (280 Zeichen)
✔️ Suchen (nicht perfekt)
✔️ Bilder zeigen, Videos abspielen
✔️ Timelines mehrerer User anzeigen (nur neue Einträge)
✔️ Via Klick Usern und Hashtags folgen
✔️ alternativ alle Tweets auf Textmodus stellen
✔️ Tweets im Browser öffnen
✔️ Sortiert Einträge nach Uhrzeit
✔️ ein Nacht-Modus
✔️ Hat ein App Intro (auf das ich stolz bin)

Ich bastle schon länger an der App und nun ist sie in einem Zustand, den man veröffentlichen kann. Sie ist OpenSource (FOSS = free open source software) und kann gerne von anderen Menschen weiterentwickelt werden.

The App WAS a very low level twitter client. You can use the old code to build your own cool client or to learn how Twitter Kit and API works.

Features

 👉 extracts username from <tt>RT @username:</tt> and got to that user timeline by a single click
 👉 if it is not a retweet, it try to extract the first <tt>@username</tt>
 👉 if there is no <tt>@username</tt>, it uses the username of the posting user / publisher
👉 switch images on/off in preferences
👉 english and german interface
👉 night mode
👉 search <tt>@username</tt> and keywords
👉 small Welcome intro
👉 it is possible to send text only or low resolution picture tweets (you get a login dialog on first try)
👉 if you are logged in, it gets your friend list and add it to the preferences automaticaly (and yourself)
👉 com.twitter.tweet-composer added and modified with stupid Validator, 280 characters are possible, now.

How to get API Codes

I did not share my API Key and Secret! You have to create your own. Normally all Twitter client request go to a man in the middle app-server to analyse and cache every request (similar to a proxy). WE DO NOT WANT this man in the middle server, who holds API Key and Secret and sending Ad's or do things with our private stuff. Thus: Your client has to hold these Keys and you have to generate your own, because there are request limits to pretend the original Twitter servers from to many requests.
